
Vive la Clark-Shaw! Six students among nation’s best on National French Exam
Six eighth-graders from Clark-Shaw School of Math and Science placed in the top 12 nationally of all middle-schoolers taking the National French Exam.
The students are:
— Blaikney Waldrop, who placed No. 4 in the nation
— Samantha Singleton (No. 5)
— Azi Singthong (No. 9)
— Lily Holden (No. 10)
— Brian Martir and Jackson Faggard (No. 11)
All six of these students also placed in the top 10 in the state of Alabama. They are among a group of eighth-graders at Clark-Shaw who are taking French I Honors for high school credit.
The National French Exam, sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of French, was taken by thousands of students across the country in February and March of this year.
