The Mobile County Board of School Commissioners on Monday will interview three candidates for superintendent: Walter Fenn, John Gunn and Chresal Threadgill.
Each candidate will participate in a 55-minute interview by the five-member board, which will be open to the public and live streamed on mcpssTV, mcpssthewire.com and the Mobile County Public Schools’ Facebook page. The interviews will take place in the Board Room at the MCPSS Central Campus, located at 1 Magnum Pass in west Mobile as follows:
- 8:30 – 9:25 a.m. – Walter Fenn
- 9:30 – 10:25 a.m. – Chresal Threadgill
- 10:30 a.m. – 11:25 a.m. – John Gunn
They will take a lunch break from 11:30-1.
From 1-3:15, each of the three candidates will rotate between panels of Education Partners, the district’s Leadership Team, and educators from the 12 Feeder Patterns for discussions.
Then each candidate will introduce himself to the public in the Board Room as follows. (This portion of the interview process will also be live streamed).
- 3:45 p.m. – 4:15 p.m. – John Gunn
- 4:15 p.m. – 4:45 p.m. – Walter Fenn
- 4:45 p.m. – 5:15 p.m. – Chresal Threadgill
