MCPSS teacher for hearing-impaired students named Educator of the Year
Congratulations to Cori Walters, who teaches hearing-impaired students at Baker High School.
She was recently recognized as Educator of the Year by the Mobile Area Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities.
Mandy Sullivan, principal of the Southwest Alabama Regional School for the Deaf and Blind, said she is proud of the work that Walters does daily.
“Cori goes above and beyond to ensure that our high school students receive appropriate transitional and vocational rehabilitation services so they are prepared for post-high school life opportunities,” Sullivan said.
